It's a talk event where the landlord and guests at Roopt, a share house utilizing a retro property, freely imagine fun ways of living, thinking "it would be nice if we could do this" or "it would be nice if we had that." [Daydreaming at a Share House] Discussing the possibilities of share houses x workation with a workation expert

"Workation" is a coined word combining work and vacation, and it's a new way of working that has spread nationwide since the COVID-19 pandemic. Centered around remote workers, more and more people are staying in their favorite regions, working with just a computer, and deepening their interactions.

Roopt Okumatsushima, the setting for this daydreaming session, actively accepts not only share house residents but also group stays and week-long workation use. Takashi Tsunoda, the event moderator and a workation veteran of 4 years, has been on a workation at Roopt Okumatsushima since November 1st, so this event will be an opportunity to hear about his experiences and impressions!

Furthermore, by chance, Nobuaki Koike, Representative Director of Ajilab General Incorporated Association, which promotes workation initiatives in Hitachinaka City, Ibaraki Prefecture, will be joining us as a guest. We hope to make this a session where we can freely imagine the possibilities of Roopt Okumatsushima and workation while hearing about workation examples in Hitachinaka.

Nobuaki Koike Representative Director, Ajilab General Incorporated Association

Born in 1978. From Hitachinaka City, Ibaraki Prefecture. The young master of "Manshuya," a ryokan that has been in the family for generations. Moved to Tokyo for university, and after graduation, worked for a company in Tokyo. Later returned to his hometown to take over the family ryokan and is also involved in workation projects.
